Does My Blog Need The Support Grammarly Provides?
I created my website, Online Education For Financial Freedom, to help people looking for ways to earn an online income find and learn the ways to succeed with their goals. This post discusses a free (and paid) assist for just such people.
There’s a free help for bloggers that’s available, that will provide a grammar and spell check in addition to, and in some cases above and beyond that provided by your computer and by websites that support bloggers, such as Wealty Affiliate.
That free help is called Grammarly.
Here’s what I think.
Grammarly is a great product, if you need it.
Who Needs Grammarly?
There are several groups of people that can benefit from using the free Grammarly check. They include:
- People whose education opportunities were lacking as they were growing up and they didn’t have a chance to learn English grammar to the extent that they needed to.
- People who had the educational opportunities, but didn’t really take advantage of them. You know the type. You might have even been the type. The “too cool for school” group that would rather not take advantage of the learning opportunity offered them. I’m not judging those people, but they do exist and many of them regret their past.
- Students, from about middle school on up who are tasked with writing reports and essays as homework. We’ve all had to do that, haven’t we? Have you ever gone back and read one of your school reports that you thought was a shining example of wonderful writing at the time, but now when you read it you wince at your writing level back then?
- People whose second language is English. Face it. English is a hard language to master. Speaking comes first, then writing, which is harder. People tend to write as they think, and when you grow up thinking in your own language, it can be hard to write effectively in another language, especially English.
How Does Grammarly Help?
Suppose you’re a blogger, like me. Your blog consists of the posts you write on a regular and consistent basis. If your posts are poorly written, with mistakes in spelling and in word usage, such as “your” instead of “you’re,” “their” when you should be using “they’re,” “hire” for “higher”, “our” for “hour,” the list can go on and on, in your writing, then your blog can be in trouble.
According to their web page, Grammarly offers:
Do you need a writing assistant? Grammarly offers you this service with their free download.
Tone is difficult for a lot of us to master. We can sound stilted or formal when we want to be casual and friendly. Grammarly’s tone detector will help your tone.
Remember that old school report? If you were to rewrite it today, you’d probably use different words and phrases to express yourself, wouldn’t you? I would. Grammarly helps you do that.
So, if you want to, or feel you need to, improve your writing to attract more visitors to your blog, Grammarly is a good option for you.
Especially since it’s free.
Well, you CAN pay for it if you want. Grammarly has a premium version, that is supposed to give you more bells and whistles than the free version. It’s $29.95 per month though, and in my opinion the free version is more than adequate to begin with.
If you feel you need more services, by all means upgrade. Try the free Grammarly first, though. It will probably be all that you need.
Here’s a YouTube video that should give you a better idea about Grammarly.
I agree with the video. If you think you need it, go ahead and get it.
Have You Started Your Blog Yet?
One of the better ways to make money online is with affiliate marketing. That’s where you write about products on your blog with the intent of connecting customers to that product so they can make a purchase decision. If they buy, they you earn a commission on that purchase through your affiliate link with the seller.
What makes it better than other online marketing methods is that you don’t have to deal with the product or the customer. The seller does all that.
Can you see the potential for passive income with affiliate marketing? Once your post is written, anyone who reads it has the opportunity to buy the product featured in that post. That post could earn you money far into the future.
So, how do you learn about affiliate marketing and what it takes to become successful with it? There are several websites that have training programs, but the one I recommend is Wealthy Affiliate.
I’ve done my research. To be honest, I learned about Wealthy Affiliate while reading a review of AWAI, American Writers and artists, Inc. I learned that WA was free to join and that they offered 10 free lessons and 2 free websites to get you going before you ever needed to spend a dime to upgrade.
What a great deal, I thought! For me it was a no-brainer, and I signed up for the free training.
That was almost 3 years ago. It’s been a long time since I upgraded from the free starter version to premium, and I haven’t regretted it. If you want to learn an online business where you can earn whatever level of income you are willing to work to achieve, then Wealthy Affiliate is worth a look.
You can get the free training by tapping on the banner or on one of the links to the site. You owe it to yourself to check it out.
This post contains affiliate links. The FTC requires me to notify you that if you do click on a link and end up purchasing a product, I will earn a commission. That’s how affiliate marketing works.
Thanks for reading my post. I’d love to hear from you, so feel free to leave me a comment. I’ll get back to you.
