Are You Looking For Top Online Business Opportunities That You Can Do From Home?
Right now, in the early part of 2020, the world is in crisis from the COVID-19 corona virus. Much of the world has been told to stay home to slow the curve of the spread of the virus.
Millions of people have lost their jobs and are relying on family, friends, and the governments of their countries for the essentials that they need to survive. And they are sitting at home trying to decide what to do with their time.
Are you in that boat?
For some reason, toilet paper and paper towels are in short supply, as are PPE (personal protective equipment) for doctors and nurses and ventilators for those stricken with the disease.
Amid all the uncertainty, a lot of us are wondering what our futures hold. What can we do to be more secure when this kind of thing happens again?
You may be thinking, “What can I do to insulate myself from losing my job again in the future?”
Find A Legitimate Online Business Opportunity.
Find something you can do from home. We’re pretty much all computer savvy these days, and using the internet has become second nature.
An online business can make a lot of sense, initially as a backup to our regular jobs, and after it takes off, it can become our primary source of income and we can say goodbye to the 9 to 5 job if we want to.
So, the key is finding a LEGITIMATE online business opportunity. Beware of scams and get-rich-quick schemes.
Don’t worry, there are a lot of good legitimate opportunities out there, from copywriting to an online store. If you need fast cash you can start with selling on eBay and progress from there if you want. I’m by no means a big seller on eBay, but I do sell things there. I wrote a post on where you can find things to sell on eBay after you’ve gotten rid of your own stuff that you no longer want. You can read it here.
The nice thing about eBay is that it’s fast. You can be selling right away. Other businesses can make you a lot more money, but take a lot more time to build.
Most stuff is sold by auction, which normally last for 7 days. You can also sell direct and even have an eBay store.
You’ll need a PayPal account to handle the money from your sales. It’s free to set up and very reasonable to use.
I recommend that you start with eBay, and then at the same time look for what you think you would like to do online.
Would you like an online store? Check into that. If you do, you might take a minute and look into drop shipping. If you drop ship, you won’t have to stock products. You make a sale, and forward the information to the seller, who ships the product to your customer in your name.
A good resource for finding drop shippers is a website called Salehoo. They have a list of over 8000 drop shippers that are willing to work with you as you build your store.
I’m in my second year as a member of Salehoo.
How About A Business With Passive Income?
as with most selling businesses, with an online store you have to keep on top of what’s going on. When an item is sold, you have to package and ship it in a timely manner, then list something else for sale if you want to keep making money.
Wouldn’t it be better to have a business that can earn you passive income? What I’m talking about is a business that will bring in money while you are sleeping, or on vacation, or doing whatever other than working on your business.
A passive income business earns constantly, no matter what you are doing.
Sounds great, right?
What’s the catch?
The catch is that a business that will bring in passive income takes time to build. That’s why recommended starting with an auction site like eBay while you’re building your passive income business at the same time.
I Recommend Affiliate Marketing.
What’s affiliate marketing? It’s a business model where you basically connect customers with products.
Here’s how it works.
You, as an affiliate, enter into an agreement with a business to market their products. You write about their products on your blog, including a link provided by the business. Your site visitor reads about the product on your blog, and his or her interest is piqued. He, or she, clicks on the link and is taken to the company’s website where your visitor can purchase the product.
If they make a purchase, the company pays you a commission.
- You don’t have to stock products.
- You don’t have to ship products.
- You don’t have to deal with unhappy customers.
- You don’t have to handle returns.
- You do get to collect commission checks.
The more visitors that you can attract to your website, the more sales you will make. After you have built your site up to authority site status with the search engines, you can easily make a six-figure annual income.
Heck, you can even make a six-figure monthly income if you want to, and by “want to” I mean putting in the effort required to reach that lofty goal.

Where Can I Learn How To Do Affiliate Marketing?
I’m glad you asked.
I learned at a training website called Wealthy Affiliate. I’ve been a member for 3 years now, and can attest to the fine training that you will get if, and when, you join.
There are a lot of websites willing to train you in affiliate marketing. Wealthy Affiliate is as among the best, and better than most.
Let me ask you a question. How’d you like to be able to join for free? With Wealthy Affiliate you can. As a matter of fact, everyone starts for free at Wealthy Affiliate. You get 10 free lessons and a free website to get you started.
It’s called the Free Starter Program.
After you get your feet wet with the free lessons, you can make an informed decision about whether you want to upgrade to the Premium training or not.
It took me about a week to figure that one out. The training is that good.
This post contains affiliate links. The FTC requires affiliate marketers to inform their visitors about those links, and to advise you that if you tap on one of those links and end up making a purchase, I as the affiliate will be paid a commission.
I’m happy to tell you that. It’s how affiliate marketing works.
Thanks for reading my post. If you’d like to make a comment, I’ll be happy to respond.
