Is A Millionaire Mindset Really A Thing?
Do wealthy people have a different state of mind towards money than other people have towards their money? Is there some kind of mindset that attracts wealth, and if we can just figure out what it is, we can be wealthy too?
Before we try to find the answer to that question, we need to decide on some things. They are:
- Does everyone have the same opportunity for wealth?
- If there’s a millionaire mindset, is there also a poverty mindset?
- Does your mindset attract either wealth or poverty, or are you a victim of your circumstances?
- If your mindset can make you wealthy, how do we get that mindset?
These are important points. Just what is wealth? Nearly everyone on earth would consider having a million dollars as wealthy. I know I would. But what if you’re a multi-millionaire? Wouldn’t a multi-millionaire think that a person with “only” a million dollars as almost broke?
What about someone living in a hut in Kenya? Someone with no electricity, a dirt floor, no shoes, and almost no income. Such a person would consider someone making a thousand dollars per month as wealthy. Such a person would consider someone with lights to turn on at night and a pair of shoes to be well off.
Wealth is relative.
Does Everyone Have The Same Chance?
Of course not. Life is not fair, and doesn’t care. People come into the world in different circumstances, live in countries with different opportunities, and people are not the same. We don’t all have the same talents or interests or focus.
What we have to do is take advantage of what we have, improve our circumstances, and win life’s contest.
It’s not logical to try to make life the same for everyone. If everyone started out from the same place with the same opportunities, no one would end up at the same place, simply because people are different.
Millionaire Mindset vs Poverty Mindset
I watched a You Tube video recently that was about the different ways of thinking between the rich and the poor. It was eye-opening. Here’s the video. Warning: Some bad language, but nothing horrible.
Rich people think BIG, poor people think small. I wonder if this is driven to some extent by circumstances.
Rich people focus on opportunities, poor people focus on obstacles.
Rich people admire wealthy people, poor people resent wealthy people.
The rich are positive about self-promotion, the poor resent having to promote themselves.
The rich believe in being paid for results, the poor want to be paid for their time.
The rich practice good money management, the poor practice money mismanagement.
The rich make their money work for them, the poor work for their money.
Rich people constantly learn and grow, poor people think that they already know.
How Do You Think? Do You Think Like A Rich Person, Or Like A Poor Person?
We might say that poor people are conditioned to the poverty mindset, and I tend to agree, but aren’t rich people conditioned to being rich? Sure, of course they are.
What we need to remember is that we are all born ignorant, naked, and unable to talk. Where we go from there is up to each one of us.
Proof that the poverty mindset is real is manifested by the large number of lottery millionaires who find themselves in poverty again within just a few years. If you won a million dollars in the lottery, would you let yourself go broke? Some people who win a large sum of money don’t know what to do with it except spend it, so that’s what they do, until it’s gone.
Someone with a millionaire mindset, If he or she loses everything, within a few years will have built his, or her, fortune back up again, usually bigger than before.
Are We Victims Of Our Circumstances, Or Can We Change Them?
As I’ve already discussed, we don’t all have the same chances in life. We all start out the same, as helpless little babies, but after that nobody is the same.
There are a lot of people, fine people, who live in third world countries and have limited opportunities for improving their circumstances in life. People are limited by their belief systems, their political systems, their abilities and disabilities, and much more.
It’s what we do with what we have that matters.
How Do You Manage Your Time?
Time management has been the subject of many a seminar, speech, lesson plan, and training session. The truth is, though, that we don’t really manage our time. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Time moves along, tick, tick, tick, one second at a time, all day, every day, for always. There is no way to change it.
What we are really trying to manage is OURSELVES. We are the variables. We try to manage what we DO with the time that is there for all of us, and let’s face it, some of us are better at it than others.
What we do with our time is as important as what we do with our money.
People with millionaire mindsets think long term, others think short term. Only long term thinking will bring wealth over time.
Very few wealthy people got wealthy quickly. They had to work for it. They put in the time, the effort, and the hard work that was required for them to reach their financial goals. it’s like anything else. If we want something that we don’t have, we have to do what it takes to get it.
Do professional athletes who are superstars become that way just because they have talent in their sport? No, they have to put in the work, the practice, and they have to sacrifice along the way until they finally reach superstar status.
I’ve heard athletes say that they are better than anyone else because they work harder than anyone else.
It’s the same with becoming a millionaire. It requires practicing sound financial principles, working hard, long hours, and sacrificing along the way.
I Can Show You The Way.
You won’t become a millionaire working the 9 to 5 grind. Not even the 9 to 5 grind with overtime thrown in. You need to work for yourself. A fixed-hour job at a fixed-wage pay rate doesn’t give you any options.
I want you to take a look at affiliate marketing, using the internet. Affiliate marketing is a good business model because you don’t have to have an inventory, you don’t have to deal with customer service, and the headaches the go with it all.
You promote other business’s products on your website, and when one of the products you promote is purchased through your promotion, you are paid a commission. That’s the way you earn with affiliate marketing. Once you become established, 5 and 6 figure earnings PER MONTH are possible.
The best way to get trained and started in affiliate marketing is by joining Wealthy Affiliate. You join and get started for free, and after you get rolling and have a website or two of your own on the internet, and after you understand what’s involved in making money online, you can upgrade to the paid, premium training courses and begin to work toward that million dollars.
After a couple of years, you will reach that goal.
You can sign up for Wealthy Affiliate by clicking on the link, or on the banner. As I said, sign-up is free and so is the first level of training. Do it now, and open the door to earning your million dollar income!
Thanks for reading my post. Leave me a comment if you have a question or would just like to say something.
Disclosure: The FTC says that I need to tell you that if you click on an affiliate link in this post, and end up purchasing a product, I will be paid a commission. That’s what I explained in my post, and it’s how affiliate marketing works.
